Peaceful Getaway! This is a great location for a peaceful (and romantic) getaway from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Ver quiet and secluded. I think the loudest noises we heard were from the honeybees gathering pollen from the flowers and the birds singing in the woods. No planes flying overhead, no cars or motorcycles going down the road, just quiet.
We took some time to visit the local towns of Margaretville and Andes. Nice small towns nestled in the mountains. Andes has has great little restaurant called Two Old Tarts (also has a bakery inside). We enjoyed an awesome meal there while listening to the live entertainment on the outdoor deck. Most of the time we just kicked back and enjoyed nature on a beautiful Labor Day weekend. We were sorry we had to leave on Monday. Please take time out of your busy schedule and visit this beautiful spot in the Catskills....you won't regret it!

The unspoiled Catskills.. We enjoyed our stay especially the proximity to hiking, swimming in Big Pond and eating out in Andes and Bovina.

Off the beaten track, but but easily accessible nearby towns, hiking, etc.

My husband and I stayed at the Andes Mountaintop Chalet for our "babymoon". I am 30 weeks pregnant and we just wanted a relaxing weekend getaway before the baby comes. The cabin was perfect! The area is absolutely breathtaking and the views from the cabin were amazing! We would definitely stay again and have been talking about going back next year with some friends and staying at one of the other pine hollow lodging properties! :)

We had a great vacation and definitely want to do it again! The property is beautiful with magnificent views and lots of grass and wild flowers with paths that our kids were able to run between. We also had a great time picking flowers with them. The cabin is clean and very well maintained with all the necessary amenities. Its rustic look is very charming. I definitely recommend this place especially if you are looking to totally zone out. It's really private. The owner is really helpful and answered all of our questions and gave us great advice.
Reply: Thank you for your review. Many people agree, it’s a great place to romp, play, and relax! We are always working on the grounds to keep them accessible and pretty!
A beautiful and serene area and a cabin with every amenity imaginable. A perfect place to get away from it all and recharge. Very private but helpful and friendly neighbors nearby. I had a great time.

[Reply: ] Beautiful views and friendly neighbors… that’s why we live in the country!
Very comfortable and well-maintained cabin on a quiet, secluded hilltop. My wife and I spent most of our time here reading and relaxing with the beautiful views. There's plenty of nearby hiking opportunities, including walking out the front door and down the gravel road leading up to the cabin (you don't need 4WD -- we made it in a Honda Fit -- but it helps to be comfortable driving on steep gravel towards the end). We ate at the cabin for most meals, but Andes and Margaretville (both within 15 minutes) have enough dining options to round out a week's stay, and the grocery store in Margaretville has just about everything you could need (for wine & spirits, there's a store on Main St. in M'ville). The kitchen was well stocked; the only thing we missed was a tea kettle. If you're looking for a luxury bathroom, this probably isn't your destination -- it's rather small, but it is entirely adequate.
very cozy and we'd definitely recommend it overall. We hope to return in the future!

[Reply:] Thanks for the feedback Ben! We’ve replaced the missing tea pot
A great place to get away. Comfortable, quiet, nicely secluded with a spectacular view of the mountains. There's a very cool swimming hole five minutes away. There's a grocery store about a fifteen minute drive away that has pretty much everything you want or need. We stocked up before we got to the cabin and weren't inclined to leave. I definitely recommend this spot if you want to spend time away in the Catskills. We will definitely be returning.

My wife and I are looking forward to staying at this cabin again. It is private, beautifully decorated, and supplied with most of the amenities you need for your stay. Restaurants and stores are available within a short drive. The property is well-maintained and the yard is nicely landscaped with many wildflowers. We highly recommend this cabin.
