What our renters have to say:
For anyone looking to escape the “hustle and bustle ” of the City and find a little slice of paradise, the Eagle ’s Nest is an ideal option. If you like roaring open fires, peace and quiet and a chance to relax and re-charge the batteries then this is the property for you. The high vaulted ceiling, outside hot tub and high tech cinema room give this property a real wow factor and all this a couple of hours drive from New York.
If you‘re going in the winter four wheel drive and snow tires are essential (you will not get to the house without them) and if you have DVDs you can take with you for evening entertainment, you will not regret it.
We really enjoyed our stay very much. It ’s a really great property and many of our friends already know about it ! ! !
Many thanks for all of your help.

Hi there Jason and Phyllis. We really enjoyed our stay with yall in the Catskills. So great! And ahh the hot tub with that view was magical. I really loved your recycling policy as we are involved environmentalists, and try to recycle everything possible. Overall it was a fabulous time! Thank you for renting to us.

Thank you for your quick responses to our questions. We had a wonderful time in Eagles nest, it is a great home, cozy and with a terrific view.
One morning we woke up and the stone statue of the bear in the garden was thrown over and something had also been digging in the the garden. Because the statue is very heavy, we think it may have been a bear. But we never saw one.

This house is amazing! I was here recently for a spring weekend with 3 other people and we enjoyed our stay immensely. The house itself has a wooden cabin feel, but it's so much more spacious than any cabin I've seen. The high ceiling in the living room really makes a difference when relaxing by the fire or looking out to the incredible sweeping view across the large wrap-around porch. It really does feel like you're on the edge of a steep cliff or in a really large tree house. Late one night, when trying to see some stars on the porch, we saw the moon rise coming over the mountain across the valley, which was an amazing thing to see. And the next morning we saw a young deer cross the driveway from the kitchen window. :)
The property is beautifully landscaped and secluded, and the house is charmingly decorated--we spent all of our time in the house save for a quick 2 hour hike near Margaretville, which is a short drive away and is where we got our groceries. The kitchen, where we spent a lot of time cooking, was spacious and well stocked--my only criticism was that when we found the coffee grinder, it was broken. This was a shame because we'd seen it listed in the amenities section and were counting on it for the great coffee beans we'd brought.
The managers were very easy to work with, and though there are plenty of rules regarding the house, they were all pretty easy to follow--I would definitely love to come again, hopefully for longer! Views like that are really hard to get sick of, and when it was time to leave we were all lamenting how short our stay had been.

We went up here for a long weekend for my birthday a few weeks ago. we loved this house! we woke up every morning to watch the sun rise. plus you get great cell service (many towns up there you don't). it's very close to Phoenicia where we went to eat most of the time when we weren't cooking at the house. plus tons of great movies to pick from when you want to just sit in, snuggle by the fire and watch a movie. only thing we wished the hot tub was set up [Note: The hot tub is now set up to enjoy in all seasons! PHL] but the house was still amazing either way. plus if anyone is bringing kids/friends the upstairs is totally private and away from the downstairs. we had my dad come visit for a night to see the house and we still totally had our privacy. the views are just beyond amazing. we took so many pictures/videos while up there.
It's also not too far from Woodstock! we went there during the day and our Chihuahua is one of the Woodstock flea dogs now! (some blog) should also mention our dog loved the outside area of the house so much. she was running all over through the leaves, up and down the hill. never seen her so happy.
